I started off with a desk lamp that I could turn on and off, with the flick of switch. I wanted a lamp that I could control from anywhere in my house and be able to vary the brightness. A dimmer switch, bluetooth module, and android phone app later, and I had what I wanted. In the future I hope to make the lamp smart. It should autonomously adjust it's brightness based on its environment.
